Our Football Players

James and Ammon were so excited to play football this year. It is not as easy as they anticipated and they weren't able to play the position they wanted, but they still love it. I have been impressed with them. James is playing with boys who have already played 2 years. He is keeping his chin held high, working hard and having a good time. There are 5 boys on his team that are in his school class and all the others go to his school as well. Ammon just loves everything about it! He comes home from practice and says "Mom, I hurt someone today" and "Mom, I 'm going to hit someone today", I say , Well, if you do, make sure you ask him if he is O.K. and don't just walk off! Ammon has sprained his ankle twice already and Jamie had to pick him up from school today because he hurt it worse on the playground. Consequences! Consequences! He was supposed to stay off of it and not play football so it would heal. So now he will not be able to play in the next game. A Lesson learned, I hope!
